Ian Herbon holds a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance degree (2015) from Ithaca College, where he studies with renowned saxophone pedagogue Dr. Steven Mauk. While studying at Ithaca College, Ian was awarded the saxophone graduate assistantship, which allowed him to gain collegiate education experience. He devoted his time to constant practicing and teaching undergraduate students in the area of woodwind performance. Prior to his graduate work, Ian completed a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Eastern Michigan University (2013). He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and skills with young musicians of all ages, to help them achieve their musical aspirations.

Hobbies/Interests

Ian’s hobbies include spending time with his wife, son and dogs. He also enjoys riding his motorcycle when the weather allows.
