Ben graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Jazz and Contemporary Improvisation.  He has since become a fixture in the Detroit music scene.  His performances span genres from jazz and classical to funk, afrobeat, and pop and include venues such as Cliff Bells, Blue Llama and the Detroit Jazz Festival.

Ben has a passion for music education.  He has been teaching trombone and piano to a wide range of students for 6 years and his students have had great success with their musical pursuits.  His teaching style has a strong focus on curating the lessons to the students' creative needs while also covering the bases of technical proficiency and musicanship.

Hobbies/Interests

In his free time, Ben likes to play basketball, lift weights and play video games.
