Amalia Weber graduated in 2021 from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, earning a Bachelor’s Degree with Distrinction in Music Education, with a focus in euphonium. She has been playing low brass instruments (primarily euphonium) since 2009.
In 2017, as a senior in high school, Amalia was selected as one of the four instrumental concerto soloists for the Gala Concert at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival; prior to that she had been nominated for the concerto competition 3 consecutive years in a row. She also participated in the Indiana University Marching Hundred, in which she served as baritone section leader in 2020. She played in the Michigan All-State Band, the Honors Band at the Michigan Youth Arts Festival, IU’s Symphonic and Concert Bands, as well as the Brass Band at IU.
Hobbies/Interests
Amalia has a dog she loves very much, Winnie, and the pair love to go for runs around their neighborhood. She also enjoys playing Dungeons and Dragons, reading, playing Nintendo Switch and DS, and putting together diamonds painting and jigsaw puzzles.
