Phillip Mallender

French Horn

Troy & Waterford – $25 per half hour

Phillip received a Bachelor of Music Degree in Horn Performance from Central Michigan University and a Master of Music Degree in Horn Performance from Western Illinois University. He has studied with Joseph Buono, Susan Mutter, Dr Bruce Bonnell, and Dr. Randall Faulst.

While attending college, Phillip played with the CMU and WIU Symphonies, and Brass Ensembles. He also played with the Quincy Community Theatre, the Knox-Galesburg Symphony and the Oakland Symphony. During his time at graduate school, he was the WIU Summer Music Institute Horn Teacher, and the substitute horn studio teacher. Phillip has also enjoyed bringing horn clinics to several of the local schools.

Hobbies/Interests

Phillip is a huge Detroit sports fan, good or bad. He also watches a lot of tv, and enjoy playing the video game Warcraft.
