Troy - Brass and Percussion Repair and Restoration

Eric has been on the McCourt’s Music Staff repairing brass wind instruments for over eight years. He studied with the renowned Kevin Powers at the Michigan Musical Instrument Service (MMIS).

Eric specializes in percussion repair and restoration with an emphasis on vintage Ludwig drums and mallet percussion. As an avid drummer himself, his genuine passion and enthusiasm is evident in every instrument he touches.

Eric is efficient and effective at solving difficult instrument issues and always finds a way to “make it happen.” His wealth of vintage drum and percussion knowledge is unmatched and makes Eric your go-to repair tech in his field.

Also working in our brass and percussion repair department is Eric’s son, Aaron Mikich. Aaron has been working with us since 2014 and specializes in brass repair.
