Dr. David Rajewski

Trumpet, Jazz Improv

Waterford – $35 per half hour

Dr. David Rajewski received his BM degree in Jazz Studies from Wayne State University while studying and performing with renowned trumpeter Marcus Belgrave. In 2004 he moved to Denver to pursue and later receive his MM in Trumpet Performance at the University of Colorado, working as a graduate teaching assistant to Terry Sawchuk. He later completed his DMA in Jazz Studies at the University of Colorado.

With over 20 years of experience, David has performed and recorded with many diverse artists and groups. These include The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Vervepipe, Arturo Sandoval, James Carter, Andrew Woolfolk (Earth, Wind, and Fire) Dave Douglas and Matt Wilson.

As an educator David has worked with numerous Detroit and Denver area schools through independent music programs, clinics, special classes and private lessons. David has also taught for Naropa University (2006), University of Colorado’s Continuing Education Program and adjudicated for the UNC Greeley Jazz Festival (2012)
